There is no scientific basis for much of the information in this video.
In particular the part about the gravitational influence as we cross into the galactic equator. We have been traversing the galactic equator since 1980 and the very center was crossed in 1998.
The intensification is due to other factors. I can't necessarily you what they all are but its not what the gravitational tug from the galactic center.
